Meet The Therapist
I am of Indian origin, was born in Hong Kong, lived in the United Kingdom, and now call Singapore home. Having grown up across cultures, multicultural sensitivity and awareness is a key hallmark of my practice.
This work matters to me because I have personally experienced the impact of psychotherapy and healing methods in my own life, and witnessed the transformations they have created in my loved ones and community. It’s hard to overstate how much better life feels when we tend to our emotional needs, get curious about our wounds, and commit to seeking support.
When we allow ourselves to recover from stress, make space for digging into the thorny topics that feel easier to avoid, and lean on the support of trusted professionals in our healing journey, we give ourselves the gift of long-term flourishing.
Devika A. Psychotherapy specialises in holistic psychotherapy that is culturally sensitive and deeply integrative. We don’t just address surface-level thoughts or symptoms: we use alternative modalities that get to the root of your suffering to create wellbeing that lasts.
When I think about the impact I want my work to have, I see a healthy and hopeful society shaped by individuals brave enough to seek the support they need so they can be their best.
Outside of my work as a holistic psychotherapist in Singapore, I love playing guitar, oil painting (and admiring art in museums) and turning my brain off by swimming —the ultimate form of meditative exercise. My work ethic means that when I put my mind to something, it gets done.
I’m also a proud dog mum to a brown cockapoo, and have only recently gotten over my fear of cats!
